My husband and I flew out of Newark, Terminal C, to Paris on Labor Day. News outlets had been forecasting record numbers of travelers LD weekend. I was a bit concerned because when we had last flown Newark-Paris it was one week before Christmas, 2022 and the airport was elbow-to-elbow with travelers and our plane was full. Not so on LD! The airport was sparsely populated. Not only were we able to get into United's Lounge near C123, but it, too, was nearly empty so much so that we had a choice of seats (unheard of!) In December we couldn't even get into the lounge.
The flight was only @ 2/3s full. It's a travel plan that we will keep in mind from now on. (Now, if only there were no heat wave. . .)
We flew out of JFK on Sunday and it wasn’t crowded at all. We flew BA, terminal 8. Heathrow though was very crowded and busy.
