Flying from Paris to Venice - Best Options

I'm flying from Paris (6 nights) to Venice (3 nights) in late August (& continuing to other areas in Italy for the following 2 weeks) - Tips and suggestions on flight options & considerations are greatly appreciated - Best airlines? Best airports? Other thoughts?

Thanks!

You've got your choice of EasyJet.com or Vueling Airlines--both European budget airlines. Both fly out of Charles de Gaulle Airport and EasyJet also flies out of Paris-Orly airport.
My only tip is to understand their online posted rules. Since it's just about an hour's flight, either would be just fine.

And be aware of whether your flight to Venice lands at Marco Polo airport or Treviso. The former is much closer to Venice.

FWIW, Last summer we flew in the opposite direction (Venice Marco Polo to Paris De Gaulle). We ended up using Air France. I looked at the discount carriers, but after looking at all the potential charges from the discount guys (like a charge for carry on luggage) Air France was about the same price. I guess the real message is to shop around and keep your eyes open for the fine print on charges.

We've used Vueling and EasyJet multiple times , both are fine . Biking well in advance , flights can be very cheap . I always prepurchase a checked bag ( much cheaper than doing so at airport) and we never bother with other stuff like seat selection or special seats , not even with extra insurance .

I did it on EasyJet because I wanted to use Orly airport. Much easier airport to manage than CDG.
