Does anyone have an opinion on Ryanair vesus Vueling from Barcelona to Madrid. Vueling lists their departure airport as BCN and Ryan has Girona. Is one better than the other as far as flying out of? I have not made my hotel reservations in Spain, therefore don't know which would be closer. Does anyone have a Barcelona hotel recommendation?

Vueling flies from main airports where as Ryan Air always goes for the outer airports.
They are comparable - I prefer Vueling out of easy of arrival.

The new high speed AVE Train should have the new route in 3hrs or so (3.5?) from Barcelon to Madrid. If you have a little extra time it may be cheaper and more scenic - unless you get a 10-Euro flight or something like that!
Also - Ricks book has great listings for Barcelona in the old quarter.
