flying florence to paris

Has anyone does this? It's a 10 hour train ride and nearly as long a trip- I figure 7hours with training to Milan and then flying to Paris- so I'm not sure it's worth it, but the plane is actually cheaper on the small jet companies in Europe. Unfortunately I haven't found any airline that flies from Florence to Paris. Any experience with this? Otherwise we are thinking of spending the night in Rome and then flying from there...

Several years ago I flew from PISA to PARIS. Check that out. Pisa is close to Florence; I think it is about an hour by bus or train. Once in Pisa there is a train to the airport that takes only about 5 min.

I was researching this route heavily at one point and there is very little that flies into Florence unless you want to book with air france or something like that which is expensive. Low cost options are pretty much all out of Pisa

I just checked Ryanair, they fly between Florence (Pisa) and Paris. But the airport they fly to in Paris is about 90 minutes drive away from Paris, so you'd have to add that in to your time calculations.

It's only about 3.5 hours from Florence to Milan (including the bus to the airport) but its 45Euro on the high-speed and about 11Euro on the bus. 56Euro could go a long way towards a budget flight to Paris. There are none from Florence to anywhere in France. Full fare airlines only (even $795 on Air One).

As mentioned above, Pisa airport is only 1.5hrs away from Florence. www.easyjet.com makes this flight to Paris-Orly. The train fare, including a train change in Pisa to the airport, is 5.60Euro. CLICK HERE to see what I see on the trains from Florence to the Pisa airport.

Thanks all for your replies! The Pisa route sounds really good- hadn't even thought of that until now-
