Flying Easyjet

Will be in Italy in August and thinking of flying Easyjet from Venice to Nice as I saw they have lowest fare. Never have flown Easyjet and would like opinions on this airline.

I find it is a good airline. They live up to the airline's namesake. The earlier you buy the lower the cost. They let you checkin a month before the flight. And if you don't want the charge to select a seat just let the system do it for you. Just read and comply with the baggage rules and you will not have any problems, I've taken them several times no canceled flights so far. The routes I've taken have been short so no big deal

Here are my most recent trips

Tuesday, 24 April 2018 Berlin Schoenefeld 10:15 London Gatwick 11:20

Monday, 21 May 2018 Naples 10:10 London Stansted 12:00

Yes - read their baggage policy carefully - they are more strict about it than other airlines.

Have flown with Easyjet on several occasions with no issues. Most recently from Milan to Prague and again from Amsterdam to London. Both were on time, good service, polite staff, no negatives come to mind. Great prices, read and closely follow allotted baggage allowance. Have a great trip!

It is our preferred budget airline. Pay attention to the check in requirement and luggage. Reminded me a bit of Southwest.

Just read their terms carefully. When they say one carryon, they mean it.
We have flown on them a couple.of times without incident.

There will be an option when booking to choose Speedy Boarding for an additional charge. This gets you on board first and an additional carry on bag (total 2). This was worth it to us as we do carry on bags only. If you need a snack or a drink take it on board as they charge for everything including water and it is not cheap.

I flew Easyjet from Milan to Prague. Even though I had a carry on sized bag, I also had a backpack. It saved money to pay for my checked bag when I booked my ticket. The total was under $100. In Milan the boarding process was chaotic, but the flight was uneventful. I would definitely fly Easyjet again.

I fly easyjet about 8-10 times a year mainly Edinburgh- Prague and back, good company and generally on time.be clear about their baggage policy and make sure you are at the gate in plenty of time, they will try and go early if they can.
They also have what is called "Hands Free" where you can put your cabin bag in the hold for a small fee usually around £6. and also take another small bag on board. handy if you don't like carting your bag about and if you want to take liquids with you.

easyJet is my preferred budget airline in Europe, and I use them whenever possible. As the others have said, be sure that you're clear on the luggage and other rules, and you should have no problems. As someone else mentioned, Speedy Boarding and advance seat selection are good extra cost options to consider as they make the "budget" experience much easier. You'll need to print your boarding pass in advance, up to 30 days prior to your flight.

Ditto to what Frank and Ken said. Another option is to use their app and put your boarding pass on your phone (if you don't have data while in Europe, charge your boarding pass while at the hotel with wifi, then take a screenshot of it to use at the airport). The app keeps you posted with flight delay information (i.e. this weekend coming from Berlin back to Paris, there were severe storms in France that delayed our flight. EasyJet notified me well ahead of time so we knew what to expect).

I like flying with Easyjet and always pay extra for upfront seating, which allows me to take an extra (under seat) bag plus a carry-on sized bag, and priority boarding.

As previously mentioned, they are very strict about their luggage limit rules so choose what works best for you.

I recently flew from Milan to Palermo with a carry-on and a small back pack.
On the return flight (Catania to Milan), I paid extra to add a hold bag (check-in) since I had an extra bag with souvenirs.

Make sure you pay for everything in advance, online, and not wait till you get to the airport as it will be way more expensive there.

Print your pass in advance or do get the easyJet app on your phone . I always print my boarding pass even though I also have it on my cell phone, just in case...

Enjoy your trip!

We have used Easyjet 4-5 times now.. perfectly acceptable airline.. its a short flight so you dont need all the luxuries right.. and do read the terms of your ticket carefully.. ie.. luggage and check in rules.. and follow them to the T..

I usually just shoved my purse into my carry on for check in.. and last time we bought speedy boarding for a longer flight ( london to Mykonos) and I thought it was worth it..

I've flown EasyJet many times and they're fine. When buying your tickets, make sure that you pay for checking bags at the time of purchase and not later. Also, if your carryon is greater in size than their specifications, pay to check the carryon as well when you buy your tickets.
