Does anyone know of a low cost flight from San Sebastian to Santiago, Spain Or it could be between Bilbao and A Coruna. I'm trying to avoid that long train trip. Iberia is too expensive for me.
thanks. But Vueling stops in Barcelona first. And the whole trip takes all day. any other choices? Rick suggests flying for long trips but I can't seem to find anything but Iberia which costs over $300. The train takes 11 hours.
Vueling goes from Bilbao to Coruna.
Only other idea is to drive. It's a good eight hours from San Sebastian to Santiago on a straight push; maybe take two days and hug the coast except for ducking down into the Picos de Europa nationa park? The last hope is that Tim will come along and work his magic with trains and buses.
There are no nonstop flights between these cities. Spanair flies between Bilbao and La Coruna with a change in Madrid. Entire travel time is just under 4 hours.
It looks like Frank II has found a very good route on Spanair. Maybe Norm from Ottawa will have some suggestions, too.
Frank II's suggestion is the best. There are no faster alternative routes for the train, and the bus takes even longer. If you book far enough out in advance, you might be able to get Spanair's 8 am departure out of Bilbao for about 50 Euro (plus fees) and it takes about 3 hours.
thanks to all of you. i don't drive (never learned). looks like i may as well take the train and spend a night in leon.
