With my trip less than 90 days away (officially!) I'm thinking it's time to bite the bullet and buy my tickets. Prices haven't come down very much, and the cheapest flight I'm finding is on FlyCheapAbroad.com....does anyone have any experience with this company?
I used them for my London trip in 2008. No problems whatsoever! They gave me the best price at the time. But I will warn that they usually have US Airways cheap flights and do connections out of Philadelphia airport alot and although I had no issues, many people have. Make sure you have enough time between connections.
You might also want to check airlines prices directly first. I was trying to find a nonstop flight from Denver to London last November and most airlines (and expedia, etc) quoted about $790 - $1000 for economy seat. I look it up on British Airways site and paid $661 nonstop roundtrip. BA Is the best I have ever used and no I dont work for them.
Look at the post by Liz click here, see 2nd para of post by Liz, it was two years ago but may be of interest .
I also used them last summer and had no problems. My itinerary was available both through their Web site and the actual airlines; plus, I received change notifications from Flycheapabroad, while the airline lagged in this department. Their Web site saved me several hundred dollars per ticket. I've heard that some people had trouble getting frequent flyer miles, etc., so beware of that aspect. As far as my experience goes, though, they were great.
I've gone through this company twice- the first time was a few years ago, and more recently with a trip to Europe that my husband and I are going on this summer. I found that they generally have the cheapest airfare, and I haven't had any problems with them so far! Good luck!
Thanks! For those who used them-- did you find that their fares changed very often? I've been watching a flight for a few weeks now that hasn't changed at all...
So bummed! I was ready to buy today on this site--- and the flight is no longer the same price...went up by $150/person..Urgh! So annoying!
I found that they they shifted between two prices every couple of weeks; be patient and keep checking. It'll probably go back to the price you wanted. At least that's what I"m telling myself since the fares I've been stalking via Iberia just went up $200!
I actually decided to bite the bullet and buy the tickets on OneTravel.com....they were listed "without" the name of the air carrier....but since I knew the flight so well, I could tell it was the flight I wanted...I just couldn't put myself through another few weeks of manic checking online. I would suggest onetravel as well, if you're still looking for a flight, I've see a lot of cheap Iberia flights on there!
