Fly out of Naples Airport or Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport

Hi.

Is it easier and almost the same cost to get from Sorrento to Naples airport or almost the same to get from Sorrento to FCO?

We will save $163.00 USD flying out of FCO. If the cost of to travel from Sorrento to FCO let's say is $100 then I would just fly out of Naples then.

We are flying from Italy to London Gatwick. Have not booked our flight or hotel yet in Italy for any part of the trip.

To fly out of NAP it's $407 USD. To fly out of FCO it's $244 USD. I have already checked ryanair and easyjet and these are the prices.

We have about 13 days in Italy. We are going to Rome, florence and Sorrento (visting neighboring cities near Sorrento). We were going to end our trip in Sorrento. Sorrento will be the majority of the trip.

I have seen there are many ways to get from Sorrento to Naples airport either by water or land. What do you think it would cost?

  • If we fly out of FCO there is a 10:55am and a 4:10pm
  • Nap there is a 11:45am flight.

Lastly if we fly out of FCO then we travel from Sorrento to Rome the day before since we don't want to take any chances trying to travel all in the same day. At least with flying out of Naples we could enjoy the day before relaxing and not traveling.

The first Circumvesuviana commuter train leaves Sorrento at 05:01 and arrives in Naples at 06:06. I think that the current fare is €3.30. There is frequent bus service between the train station and the airport.

Here are the 2nd class fares for Naples-Rome:

€44.00 on EuroStar Italia Alta Velocita trains.

€34.00 on EuroStar Italia trains.

€20.50 on InterCity trains.

€10.50 on Regionale trains.
