We arrive in Florence at 23:00 and we miss the last train. Does anyone know a great taxi driver that would be willing to drive 5 adults to Monterosso? It will be Sept 2.

Tammy, Driving from Florence to Monterosso will NOT be an option, as it's a considerable distance (unless of course someone RICH is paying the bill). A Taxi for 5 adults plus luggage may be hard to find at that hour! If your flight arrives at 23:00, you likely won't be able to get to Firenze SMN before about 00:30. There is a train departing at 00:38, so you could perhaps connect with that, but you'd arrive in Monterossa at 04:54 and it's not likely the staff at your Hotel would even be awake at that time. The next trains are at 05:35, 06:10, 07:00 & 07:28. I'd suggest booking a room in Florence for one night, and travelling the next day. Be sure to tell the Hotel that you'll be a "late arrival". You might look for a shuttle service instead of a taxi, as you'll need a small van to accommodate 5 people with luggage. The drive from Florence to Monterosso takes about 3 hours, and expect a surcharge for any private transit at midnight. If you're unsuccessful in finding private transit that suits your needs, then Ken's alternate plan of staying in Florence and catching a morning train to Monterosso is a good option.
