Flights - Which site gives full cost of flights

Which sites are the best for searching flights that INCLUDE all fee/tax upfront? so you can compare apples to apples so to say. Thanks

Expedia's displayed prices include all taxes and fees. To name one.

Janet, I often use This Website to check flights, and then double-check using the airline websites. I don't know if the prices they quote include all fees, but I believe that's the case.

I generally use kayak.com to compare and the fares that I have checked have always included taxes and the obligatory fees.

Janet, I learned about itasoftware.com from the Graffiti Wall and use it for comparison before going to the actual airline site. You can't purchase through itasoftware but it shows all the possibilities.

All the sites includes all the fees. Not sure what you are asking? For marketing reasons all sites list their fares based only on what the airlines list as base fare.

Kayak, Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity and all other airfare search engines I can think of include taxes and fees. Some present the total cost in much smaller letters than the base cost. None include fees for checking a bag, fees for using a credit card (Ryan Air), fees for a blanket (Jet Blue), fees for meals, or seat selection fee.

I usually start at Kayak but check lots of sites, including directly with the airlines, before I book. I'll explore options including changing my travel days slightly, all local and nearby airports, open jaw routes - and reversing the order. I set up price alerts on different options. After several weeks or a couple of months of alerts, I have a pretty good idea what a decent price for the route is. Then I look for the best schedule/choice at that price. I'll jump on a decent priced direct flight rather than waiting for a steeply discounted fare than might involve one or two changes enroute (adding sometimes six hours, or longer, to the trip). Direct flights are my biggest luxury when I travel - but worth it, for me, since the flight is the worst part of my trip.
