My wit and I are planning a trip to Copenhagen in mid-October. Has anyone had any experience with IcelandAir? We have travelled to GB, Ireland, France and Italy many times but never used IcelandAir. Any comments?
If you do a search on this board, you'll find several reviews of Icelandair. Most are positive, with the caveat that no meals are included; you have to buy food.
There was a rant against IcelandAir on this website, but it seemed the lady's biggest problem was that they didn't serve complementary meals on the flight. Most of the replies indicated overall satisfaction with the airline.
thanks to all for the feedback on IcelandAir. I am aware of the no-free-meal policy which I'm ok with. Since the price is anywhere from $75 to $100 cheaper than most other airlines, I don't mind packing a lunch. I am going to book our flight this afternoon
Iceland Air is supposedly a great airline. Just don't forget your picnic meal and snacks. Don't hesitate to stop off in Iceland for a day or two going or coming if they're still allowing free stop offs.
Iceland is supposedly a unique and beautiful place.
