Flights from Vienna, Austria to Toulouse, France

Hi, we will be in Vienna next fall. We are wondering if there are any discount airlines flying out of Austria to Toulouse, France.

www.skyscanner.com and www.whichbudget.com are basic search resources for discount airlines. Neither show any direct flights between the two cities. Vueling and easyJet do come up with one-stop routes. But these discount airlines force passengers to claim their bags and check back in for the second leg. Iberia might be more convenient, with baggage checked through to the destination.

You won't find any non-stop flights from Vienna to Toulouse, but one option would be to fly a discount carrier such as Air Berlin or FlyNiki from Vienna to Paris, and then Easyjet from Paris to Toulouse - IF you can find flight schedules that work for you.

As others have said, there is no direct flight from Vienna to Toulouse on any airline.

EasyJet is the only discount airline flying in/out of Vienna. Air Berlin/Fly Niki are not truly discount airlines - they are actually nice, regular airlines. Ryanair flies in/out of Bratislava. All other major European airlines fly in/out of Vienna giving you numerous 1 stop options which can also be searched using kayak.com.

When using Skyscanner, there is a small link above your results that shows if you can save money by flying from other airports nearby (ie Munich). If Toulouse is just useful to you as a gateway to the region, also check smaller airports nearby as your arrival point (ie Lourdes, Pau, etc).

I wouldn't say that Munich is "nearby" to Vienna - it takes over 4 hours by train and even longer to get to the airport!

I agree, but it is a handy tool for finding the cheapest flights. Depending on Pat's priorities, it shouldn't be discounted. I've done weirder geographic gymnastics to get from point A to point B - like deciding that flying from Krakow to Budapest was cheapest and best through Bergamo, which gave me the excuse to spend a couple of days in Italy on the way! ;-)
