Flight within Europe Newbie

If I fly from Pisa to Paris(Orly), how long would it take for me to get out of the airport to reach public transportation or a taxi?? I plan on only having a carry on with me.

I have no idea what kind of security might have been added or changed because of recent terrorist activities in Europe so it's hard to predict actual time, but going from Italy to France you shouldn't have to go through any passport/immigration line in Paris so it would just be the 'nothing to declare' line through customs. So, ideally it shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Hopefully someone who has been to Orly recently could give you a better idea.

To specifically answer your question concerning getting OUT of the airport. My guess would be 15 minutes, maybe a bit long from the time your exist the plane to your are on the curb looking for a taxi. Faster if you are a quick walker. Flying within Europe is no different than the US.

felix,

Transportation to the airport in Pisa is very easy via the Pisamover Bus (departures every 10 minutes I believe). The trip only takes about eight minutes from Pisa Centrale rail station. If your trip will be taking place after Sept. 2016, you may be able to use the new Pisamover automated train.

Travel from Paris / ORY is also quite easy and there are several options which are shown on the excellent Paris By Train website. One of the easiest options is to use the automated OrlyVal train to Antony station, and then connect with the RER "B" into central Paris. Which station in Paris to disembark from will depend on where your accommodations are located. You may have to use the Metro at some point. It would help to know where your accommodations are located?
