We are traveling from Seattle to Venice in September. There is a flight that goes from SEA to ORD to MAD finally arriving in Venice for $1,000pp this would save us about $300pp from the one stop flights we have been watching....My concern is that we would only have 1 hr 20min to make the connecting flight in Madrid. Is this enough time?
That would depend on the airline(s). Unless your arrival and departure are in the same terminal it could be very tight. If an airline has given you the itinerary it will probably work.
Are both journeys with the same airline? Could this be two different airlines in two different terminals? Note also that you may go through immigration at Madrid. This could take some time. Once through, you are in the EU. Your next flight will be a EU domestic flight.
We are also going to Venice in September just before joining a RS 14 day Village Italy Tour. You?
Yes, both flights are Iberia. And yes, I think we will have to change terminals. Thanks for the replies! I think I'll just keep watching.
@Charlie
No RS tour for us. We are self guiding this time. Spending 3 days in Venice then heading to Tuscany for a week then to Rome for 3 more days.
