Hello! I need to go to France on August 20th and return on August 29. I have a limited budget though (anout 900/1000) and I am not finding anything at this price - beside Turkish Airlines with 30+ hours of travel each way :) I am leaving from Houston,TX. Am I missing anything, does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you for your help! Michael

If your dates are absolute and there is no wiggle room either way, about the best you can do is sign up for fare alerts from websites like Kayak and hope for the best. With less than a month till you travel, you've unfortunately waited too late for better prices (which haven't really been "better" this summer, anyway). August is a peak travel month. Can you change your departure date or arrival date, even by a day? That could make a difference. Are there other cities you could fly out of? Sometimes a smaller airport can connect you cheaper than leaving directly from your city. Good luck.

You are not missing anything. It is peak summer travel, out about 30 days, so I would expect the price to be 1300 plus or minus a hundred or so. The days of sub 1000 with a reasonable schedule are gone. The recommendation is that you will have to pay more. You might look at faretracker.com (not positive about the website address) which give historical date on fares from that route.

I can take any routing, I just need to be in Paris on the 22nd and be back in Houston on the 29th. Michael
