I've never traveled to Europe before and don't know which airlines would be best for my purpose. I plan to sightsee around Loch Ness , Edinbourgh and then into England. Any suggestions?
Miami to London Heathrow on American Airlines, British Airways or Virgin Atlantic.
London Heathrow to Edinburgh on either British Airways or British Midland.
Aemrican Airlines and British Airways codeshare flight so you might find the best deal on them.
Greetings
I would avoid connecting in London if you can - it's never fun. Getting the luggage from flight to flight is purely optional as are on time departures. BA/American is the worst for lost luggage and you're basically guaranteed a strike every summer, so it's a bit dodgy.
You can:
connect to Edinburgh via Newark (Continental)
connect to Edinburgh via JFK (Delta)
connect to Edinburgh via Atlanta (Delta)
the latter two are either summer only or more common during the summer. Continental flies daily or twice daily year-round.
Or you can take KLM, connecting via Schipol in Amsterdam. This takes a bit longer, but it is MUCH MUCH more civilized that London.
