I missed my connection at Heathrow due to mechanical problem. My rebooked flight was a 6 hour wait. I have read conflicting information online. Has anyone received compensation for a missed connection from British Air. I flight was BA from Glasgow to Seattle with a change at Heathrow.

I don’t know the law but I missed my connection due to a late departure from the U.S, (to EDI, with a change at LHR). I also had a 6 hr wait and BA gave me a £10 voucher for breakfast. :)

I presume you mean British Airways, not British Air (sorry, my pet hate is posters on this forum getting the name wrong!). However, you should be entitled to up to £520 in compensation. It is based on how late you arrive, not how late it took off.

This was pre-brexit and under EU rule 261. I have received compensation from BA. It took several months after I filled out the form to get the check, but I did get what was promised.
