Trying to figure out a private sleeper for my wife and I for a Venice to Avignon (via Dijion), and cant figure out what type of fare to enter on Trenitalia. Any suggestions on how to reserve the best rate for April 7th (during Easter Week)? Thanks!!

The poster's question is about using the Trenitalia website to buy tickets online. I've forgotten, has anyone here yet figured out how to get the Trenitalia site to accept a US credit card?

While a few people on other European travel boards have reported succeeding in booking using an American Express card, others who have tried recently have reported that no North American cards of any kind have worked for them.
FYI, if you were able to book on the Trenitalia site, the cheapest fare offered for a private sleeper is the Switch fare for €155. The Flexi fare is the full fare and it is €175.
