Flexi or Continuous railpasses

If I purchase a Saverpass for 2 people in Italy from Rick Steves website, how do I know whether it is continuous or flexi?

Hi Gerri. fyi, rail passes are rarely a good idea in Italy. Usually less expensive and less hassle to buy separate tickets.

Thank you again, Lee! I believe I finally got it. Sorry I was so slow to understand.

Lee: It was my understanding that both the continuous and flexipass were for the same number of days in a two month period, but the continuous had to be used continuously. I want the freedom to pick and choose my days. Bob: I calculated the cost of using the railpass vs. point-to-point, and for my trips, the railpass was actually better. Unfortunately, nowhere on the "order," do I see a place to ensure that I am getting a flexi vs. continuous. Hence, my question.
Thank you both very much for your replies anyway.

Lee has answered your question. Passes for Italy are only flexi. All you can do is choose the number of pass days (3-10) in a two-month period. You will have to buy a seat reservation on each leg for trains that require them: €10 for high-speed EuroStar Italia trains and €3 for IC trains. Reservations are not possible on regional trains so you can jump on and off at will.

Rick desribes continuous and flexipasses here. A flexipass can be used for non-consecutive days of travel. That's why the call them "flexi".
