Finn Air Review

I just traveled from Seattle to Helsinki, connecting to a flight to Zurich on Finn Air. It was my first time on this airline and I was pleased with flights and service.

We were delayed slightly on both flights due to late arriving aircraft. However, when I heard the next gate cancelling the Iceland Air flight entirely in Seattle, I felt I could deal with a 30 min delay!

The Polar Route makes for efficient flying time from Seattle and Helsinki airport is well designed and attractive. Transfers are not difficult to make.

Meals were typical airplane food, but offered a higher number of vegetables than I usually see which I appreciated.

Finn Air is part of the One World Alliance which allows me to earn FF miles on Alaska which is the airline I use most, and Alaska points can be redeemed for flights. One World Sapphire and above have access to British Airways Lounge in Seattle and Finn Air lounges in Helsinki.

Summary, quality product, affordable, and part of my FF program. This makes Finn Air a winner for me.

I flew Finn Air a couple of years ago on a short intra-Scandinavia flight and was also very pleased with the plane, flight attendants, service, and the yummy blueberry juice they served. :-)

Flew Finnair OSL>HEL>DFW last Friday. Cattle class in an A350. First time with them and had no issues except wondered about one odd thing. At HEL, the boarding didn't seem to follow a group order, even though on the boarding pass, I had an assigned group. However, caused no problems as far as I could see. The crew was friendlier than the AA crews I am used to. Food actually had a taste, though no choice was offered. Movie selection was standard Hollywood fare. Had a bit of an adventure before landing due to DFW being closed for severe weather. Rerouted to OKC for refueling. They kept us very well informed. Overall, I must say Finnair is better than any US company I fly with and better than some European legacy carriers I have flown on before.
