Hi, I’m wondering if there is a site to find out the exact model of a particular aircraft for a particular trip?
I do realize the plane could be substituted for another depending on schedules.
There are different models of each, such as different Airbus 350-900’s for example.
Thanks!
If digging it out of the airline website gets too frustrating I look at the seat map feature on Seat Guru. You can enter the flight number and specific date and it'll tell you everything you need to know about the deck layout on your particular aircraft, along with customer reviews of individual seats if you really want to dive into it.
Most airlines mention it on their booking sites. But you can also use a third party site like e.g. www.flightconnections.com
You can always use Flight Aware, also. Safe travels!
Google flights lists the type of aircraft
If I look at a flight on Orbitz, for example, it will say the model and also you'll see if it's a code share.

Seat Guru is old, outdated and is no longer maintained or updated by TripAdvisor -- there is quite alot of inaccurate information on the site. A far superior site is https://www.aerolopa.com/
First, seatguru hasn't been updated since 2020.
While you are told the type of aircraft on most booking sites, you aren't told which version.
What you can do is look at the seating map offered when making a reservation and compare that to seat charts on sites such as http://www.aerolopa.com which is updated.
Flightaware won't have model information until a few days before the flight. But from the model number it gives, you can find out which version you will be on.
Thanks.
I wasn't really clear when I said I was looking for a particular plane.
I meant which version, if there are two or three, or more.
Yes, SeatGuru is long gone, though its website is still "there".
I don't know why it hasn't been taken down.
People are still looking at it thinking it's current information.
I would really like to know if the flights I'm interested in on Lufthansa have the new Allegris Business Class.
I guess it would be a nice surprise if they did!
I can't speak for all airlines, but it is usually displayed when I select a flight to buy on the airline web site, but well before I pay. Example: United, American.
Is your problem that you are using a third party site? I won't buy on one, but only do research. If there's a change or a problem, the airline will insist you rebook with the third part!
Questions like yours are usually answered quickly on the particular airline’s area of Flyertalk Forums.

According to Lufthansa there is one variant with the new allegris seat. That aircraft variant is the only one with a first class section. So maybe check the flight”s seat plan. Some airlines only show the seat plan for the cabin you are trying to book. So an alternative is to do a dummy booking for first class to find the flights that offer the new seats.]1
For this specific situation, Lufthansa has announced which flights are going to
get Allegris first: Allegris introduction
If you are booking something in the next few weeks, most likely not. Farther out
in time, no matter what they say now, plans can change, and if you book a flight
because of the specific seat configuration, you do need to be prepared to deal
with changes and check things once in a while.
Thanks all.
I’ll look at Flyertalk.
The Allegris is already flying to Vancouver from Munich, as of the beginning of this month.
I will hope for the best if I decide on Lufthansa .
.
Looked into flyertalk, and found out from there exactly the info I was looking for.
Thanks again!
