Fifteen of Europe's Most Scenic Railways

This is one of those click-baity things that's a slideshow combining pretty pictures with brief write-ups. Google has figured out that I'll click on anything that promises nice pictures of Europe.

I think this one's worth posting because so many of the railways were unfamiliar to me. Countries mentioned include Scotland, Wales, England, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Serbia/Montenegro, Greece, Italy (Sardinia), Switzerland, France and Spain.

Nice to see Inlandsbanan being mentioned, it deserves a bit more attention.

I feel like I need to make riding all of these a plan. I’ve taken 2 or 3 and they aren’t wrong.

Oh, thanks, acraven! I love trains and riding on them, and it would be so much fun to make a bucket list out of all these train routes!

Typical of clickbait lists that it describes 2 foot 6 inches as the world's narrowest track gauge on the Greek example, while the Festiniog Railway in Wales mentioned earlier is even narrower!

Also, Montserrat is spectacular, but the actual journey there from Barcelona isn't especially scenic as I remember.
