What is the best/easiest way to get ferry tickets. Buy when you get there or buy on-line. Going from Ancona to Split and returning from Dubrovik to Bari. Will be taking a car on the ferry.

Generally you can just buy tickets the day of departure, but with a vehicle it may be best to buy online before you go. There are generally specific boarding instructions for vehicles including a time to be there, usually several hours before departure, and other requirements. Not to assume you have not researched this, but if you are renting a car, check with the rental agency, many do not allow cars to go on ferries and they may have restrictions on taking the car out of the EU or to certain countries.
