Hi. We're staying in Crete from 8/30 until 9/5, then onto to Santorini. I was reading that high winds in August frequently disrupt the smaller express ferries. The larger / slower ferries aren't affected as much, but at the inconvenience of taking twice as long, 4 hours. After dealing with ferry cancellations in Positano in September of 25 due to high winds, I'm concerned about ferry reliability. Any comments, recommendations, experiences, thoughts on what's the most reliable way to assure I can get from Crete to Santorini by ferry? Thanks!
