Ferry from Piraeus to Hydra to Nafplio

As I've done my research, I see a number of ferries (with schedules) from Piraeus to Hydra - no problem. I also find general references to a ferry that stops at Hydra on its way to Nafplio. What I can't find is any clear statement with schedules that verifies that a ferry to Nafplio does actually stop for passengers at Hydra. Any help is appreciated.

Funny you should bring this up, I was going to start looking for a trip next year that would need a Nafplio to Hydra leg, and I looked into this on an earlier trip as well. I cannot give you definite information yet, but I seem to recall the Nafplio ferry being very infrequent. A couple we met had taken an alternate route of taking the bus from Nafplio to a town (escapes me at the moment) southeast of Nafplio to catch a ferry, or you can take the bus to the coast just across from Poros, take a water taxi (10 minutes?) to Poros and catch the ferries easily from there. If I find more, I'll gladly share.

Will, perhaps you can make use of local information. We used 'Dolphin Hellas' travel agency in Athens for our ferry rides in Greece (Matt Barrett recommends them on his site). Perhaps they would be able to relay the information to you.

OK, here's more. Again, I did not find direct Nafplio/Hydra info, but did get a route that I was thinking of. If you are going from Piraeus to Hydra, then want to go to Nafplio, I suggest looking for a ferry from Hydra to Ermioni or of various spelling, Hermioni, a 30 minute ferry to the mainland. Let's Go says there are 3 a day, and I did find a schedule on www.ferries.gr From there, catch a bus to Nafplio. Another option is to take the ferry from Hydra to Porto Heli, again on the mainland and with bus service to Nafplio. The choice of which one depends on ferry schedule and your plans. Unfortunately the KTEL(Greek bus) site no longer provides much info, but bus service in Greece is very good, and most towns are served, especially if a ferry docks. Maybe Matt Barret's site has info.
