Ferry from London to Amsterdam- please help!

I am looking to take the overnight ferry with my boyfriend, so the two of us will be traveling in a cabin. I saw that there are single-berth, 2-berth, 4-berth or family 5-berth options. If we are comfortable sleeping in small beds together, are we allowed to get the single-berth option (to save money)? Do they allow 2 people in this type of room?

Thanks!

Emily, I don't care how comfortable you are sleeping in small beds together, I've been on the overnight ferry between London and Amsterdam and there's no way two people can share one bunk unless they are Munchkins....lol...and as mentioned, they won't allow two people to book into a single accommodation...to be honest i didn't find the double berth accommodations all that expensive...and book an inner berth( no window) its a waste of money to pay extra for a window view.
