I looked in to this myself[INVALID]ferries from Barcelona to Tangier take about 16 hours, and as I recall you could get an airline ticket for about the same price (just over $100).

Thank you for your thoughts. I was trying to stick w/ trains and boats as my forms of travel.. By the by, any suggestions or have any favorite hotels in Barcelona for $100 or less/night for 2?

Regarding hotels, Maribeth: Rick suggests several in his Spain 2011 depending on what area in Barcelona you're interested in, such as Hotel Jardi. Do you mean US$100 or E100?
