Is one ferry line better then another to go to Finland? We would be going on the ferry overnight.
We would also like to go to Tallian, has anyone been on the ferries to go to there from Helsinki?

There are two companies Tanlink Silja and Viking. The latter has more of a reputation as being a "party" boat. Reputation confirmed for me when I took the Silja boat:) Both boats leave Stockholm at the same time and dock for a few minutes at a small Island around midnight. When the Viking boat pulled along side at the docks all the passengers on deck were highly intoxicated and started throwing beer bottles at the Silja boat...they didn't hit anything:) Silja had a more mature clientele.

Our friends in Stockholm told us to take the Silja line so we did. We were happy with it.

I also took Silja and was very pleased. Several ferries go from Helsinki to Tallinn. It's only 90 minutes so pick any one that is most convenient.
