taking a cruise in november one of our stops is in Split Croatia. would like to go to Hvar island but having a hard time finding a ferry back any help would be great.

Hi Carol, Check the schedule carefully because in the off-season the ferries don't run every day.

Was in Hvar from 09/29-10/01 this year. Both Jadrolinija and Krilo catamarans switch to low season schedules on or shortly after 10/01, which means the afternoon catamarans from Hvar town back to Split stop running. It might be possible to take a morning catamaran to Hvar town and return by ferry from Stari Grad in the afternoon. Best bet is to go to the Jadrolinija kisosk in Split and ask about day trip options to Hvar. They are very helpful. Kiosk is located at south end of Riva, near street to train and bus stations.
