Hello. I will be taking a train from Munich to Prague. Train leaves at 4:44 and arrives in Prague at 10:45. My question is how do I keep my luggage secure if I need to use the restroom? Beyond making friends and locking up my luggage with wire and a lock, are there any services the train can offer to store luggage safely (porters for example?). I will be travelling first class and speak some German. Thanks in advance for all advice! Best, Elise

Best thing is the small wire with lock. You will be traveling 1st class; therefore, you will have a compartment and chances are that early in the morning will have it all to yourself. I would advise you to have all openings on your luggage locked. Each car has a bathroom at the end. Which will not be far from your compartment. Don't think you will have any problems..better be safe than sorry.

If you have any question about taxis or trams ask some on your train.
Prior to arriving at the train station in Prague - secure all your valuables, lock all openings to your luggage and back pack if you use one. Watch your back until you are well out of the train station.
If you plan to use a taxi - you approach and ask price to your destination. Do not accept from one that approaches you.
