Fast from Rome

Can anyone suggest the fastest train route from Rome to Sinalunga? Changing trains isn't shouldn't be a problem. Should we take a high speed to Florence and then to Siena? We will be staying 5 Kms from Sinalunga. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Robin

Robin, there are several trains per day - most are b/n 2hr00m and 2h45m mins with a change in Chiusi-Chianciano Terme that's 10-45 mins long. No need to go so far out of the way to Siena and Florence! The price on some of the faster trains will be 1st class 24,10€ and 2nd class 19,10€. Some leave from Rome Termini; some from Rome Tiburtina (you can travel b/n the two ~7mins). Look at the Italian train site for fares, and the German train site for more possible combinations.........Italian: http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=ad1ce14114bc9110VgnVCM10000080a3e90aRCRD............German: http://www.bahn.com/i/view/USA/en/index.shtml

"...any other suggestions...please let me know!" About the train route? No, that's about it. Unless you REALLY want to travel for 4hr30m - 5hr00m through Florence and Siena and change trains 2-3 times.........Suggestions about something else? You'll have to ask a more specific question than that...;-)

"any other suggestions" was about the train. Sorry about that! I appreciate your comments.
