I guess we will need to take 2 taxis in Italy since we can’t sit up front. Any other options other than a bus?
For longer things or airport pickups you can schedule a larger car through services like welcome pickups. Also, it’s possible that hotels and restaurants could call for a larger taxi for you, if the local cab service has them.
Also, Uber is available in some areas and does offer larger cars as an option, for a higher cost but still less than 2 taxis. If there’s a local Uber-like service, it’s worth checking out too.
Without knowing where, it can be hard to answer even if someone did know.
About a month ago, in a certain European city, I did book a single taxi for four.
3 sat if the back and me up front. We were lucky a slightly larger than usual car arrived.
I tipped the guy good.
Some taxis are mini-vans, specifically made for more passengers.
Going to taxi ranks could help. The drivers should let you skip down the line to the first taxi big enough for the group.
We’ve had people sit in the front. Use the itTaxi app and put in your parameters or call and tell the dispatcher what you need. They can dispatch an appropriate cab.
