Just wondering when flying out from CDG what facilities are available once you have passed through security. i.e. restaurants, shops etc
Thks
What terminal are you flying from?
It is about the same as any other airport with a mixture of shops and food. Are you looking for anything in particular?
Look on the CDG website. It has a map and a list of all the shops and restaurants.
In terminal 1, there are actually two shop areas. The first shopping area is immediately after you check in and show your boarding pass to move toward the gates. There are some small shops and food/drink areas. Once you get on the travellator sidewalk to go to the gates, there is only one small food/drink shop within the secure area. They used to have the food/drink and bathrooms OUTSIDE the secure area at the gates, so if you needed either, you had to go back outside the secure area. I'm not sure what bright person decided it was a good idea to do this?
They have some areas like that in Terminal 2 too. We were flying out to Venice and my mom decided to wait until after she was finished going through security to go to the restroom, but after security there was nothing but the boarding gate area, so she ended up havingto go through secuirty twice which is a pain.
If you are flying home on one the main carries to North America there will be a lot more selection of shops and places to eat.
