On Wednesday Aug 4, the FAA is opening public comments for 90 days on minimum airplane seat size. This is both a safety and comfort issue, so get your comments in.

I just took a quick look at the posted link, this seems to be about evacuation safety only - bless those 28-inch seat pitch economy class airlines.

It may impact comfort, but FAA's mission is only about aircraft safety so thats where their authority to act comes from.

I have been next to some people who would definitely have trouble getting out of those seats! I am glad they are taking this action, at least it's a start.

Of course the need for those struggling evacuees to take all of their carry-on luggage with them, doesn't help the emergency of it all, either!
