I have been looking into transportation for an extended Europe stay beginning in July of this year. I have booked a flight into London but would like to get to Athens, Rome, then to Marseilles where I have planned a three week stay. This is a one way trip. I have been looking onto air and the routes are problematic (often from Athens to some hub then onto Rome. Are there any ferries that make the trip? How about trains?

Not following the question very well. One way trip where? US to Europe? You can fly direct on any number of airlines from London to Athens and from Athens to Rome. There would be no ferries. And trains would be very long for the distances involved. Only reasonable possibility for a train would be Rome to Marseilies.
