1st - I am hoping that (for a fee) I can extend my layover in Frankfurt Germany from 14 hours to 4 days and travel. My travel agent told me to wait till I get to Amsterdam on the outward part of my trip, go to the airline ticket agent, and try to arrange it. So I am gambling that this will work and I will have 4 days in Germany. Any thoughts on that gamble?
2nd- I am envisioning getting on and off the train with my German rail pas, maybe sleeping on it from time to time and taking a cruise from Ruedesheim to Koblenz on the Rhine on the K-D line. I do have a person to stay with one night in Frankfurt but no other sleeping arrangement as yet. How doable is this idea?
3rd - Will I be able to check my plane bag at the train station or airport while I traipse lightly with my carry-on backpack? Eileen
