I am planning on buying a Global Eurail Flexi pass. I read that if your train leaves after 7pm (night train) then it counts only as 1 day- the next day. I am looking to take a night train from Copenhagen to Mannheim and the train leaves at 6:53pm- gets in at 7:45 or so in the morning and is a sleeper train. Do you know if this will follow the night train rule or if I will be charged 2 days for this one night train? Does anyone have any similar experience?
when I was looking into a night rain (using only a 5 day pass), I was told to enter the next day's date on the pass...the actual day that I'd be arriving. So given that logic, it would appear to only count as one day.
I would think that 7 PM means 7 PM, and that you would be charged a day of your pass for 6:53 until 7 PM. However, ask if you can book the train from the first stop after 7 PM and buy a regular ticket to there.
