Has anyone ever booked expedia? November travel: Chicago to Vienna to Barcelona to London returning to Chicago. Not sure if we should just book the cheapest round trip either London or Barcelona and then use discount carriers?

I have used expedia.co.uk. mainly because I have found discount carriers listed that are not on the .com or US sites.
Suggest you do an open jaw and then fill in with the EU carriers and then check to see what expedia can do for you in comparison. Air Berlin has tons of flights from Vienna to Barcelona and London, and I think they are on the .co.uk website.

You can also check kayak.com. They'll point you to the cheapest sites they've found offering the fares, whether they're expedia, travelocity, etc...or the airlines themselves.
