Searching for most direct and convenient way of using public transport from Evora Portugal to Seville Spain (or the reverse). Travel in September 2013, 2 seniors. We would rather not rent a car. Thanks.

As far as I am aware the most direct would be - Evora to Faro with http://www.rede-expressos.pt
Faro to Seville with either www.alsa.es or http://www.eva-bus.com/novo/ There is Evora to Lisbon by bus or train and a flight to Seville but I do not think it will edge out the above time wise (or price wise). A google of 'Evora to Seville' should give any other contributions. It is not the first time I have seen it as a query on forums and you should do the comparisons, if you come across alternatives, to see if I am mistaken - but I doubt it. Post it here if you disagree, please.

Renting a car is problematic in that you would get charged a stunning "drop off" fee for picking up in Portugal and dropping off in Spain. Connections between Portugal and Spain are not great, and this often surprises people. Don't expect the same kind of easy, plentiful connections as you will find between just about any other two neighboring countries in Europe. They don't exist.
