That’s interesting, Frank. I guess you can accrue miles too although it won’t be much. Wonder what their connection time will be.

Eurostar and Airfrance/KLM did already do a lot of through ticketing. So in that respect not a lot will change.

The only main difference is that you can now collect airmiles on Eurostar...

Can you use frequent flyer miles to just book a Eurostar trip too?

Hmmm, I wonder if benefits will be retroactive? I will be taking the Eurostar in early April and if the partnership has already launched, it would be nice to get some Delta benefits from that, even though I will have bought the tickets ahead of time. Although I do also have a Flying Blue membership, so maybe that might work.

Two humorous lines from Friday's Cranky Flier Weekly Review regarding this topic:

SkyTeam CEO Patric Roux describes the partnership as a natural fit for
SkyTeam showing he doesn’t really grasp what the “Sky” in “SkyTeam”
means.

AND

In theory, customers will now be able to combine air and rail into one
reservation, while still taking advantage of their SkyTeam benefits —
meaning Delta Medallions are going to be aghast when they see how easy
it is to board a train in Europe, and that they’re SkyPriority
boarding benefit is of no use.

This is interesting (for me, since I both fly Delta and take Eurostar). Thanks for sharing, Frank.
