Eurostar train?

I was told you can get one-way paris-london for about $75.
I dont see this price on the internet.
Can you direct me?
$550 for 5 people VS $350 on easyjet.
$200 extra for the train is this a better deal, time, stress, etc.

What date are you traveling? I just went eurostar.com, put in a random date of Jul 20, and it gave me a non-refundable fare of 44 pounds; which works to about $88USD.

The train is definitely worth an extra $40 per person in my opinion (and it is probably really not that much more). Did you add in the costs of getting to CDG and from Luton to London? There is also the additional time of getting to the airport and going through security versus check-in for Eurostar which requires only 30 minutes in advance. I took Eurostar more than 20 times in a 6 month period and it was only late twice. I cannot say the same about landing in London. You will also have a more comfortable seat and be able to move around. It is just a way more pleasant experience.

David,
I just plugged your date into eurostar.com, and the discount fares for the morning trains are sold-out. You can get the 44 pound non-refundable fare if your willing to depart at 2pm. Another option is to buy a round trip ticket and throw away the return portion.
I put into the site that your were departing on jun 28 and returning July 15. Using this method you can get a round trip fare for 80 pounds per person and still be able to take the morning tain on June 28.

Look at the Railpasses section on this website. Cheaper tickets are sold out early, so the prices may go up the closer you get to departure date. I bought my tix from Rick Steves (ETBD). I paid $77 each way second class in January for April/May tix. There is a $15 charge for shipping. Being flexible about departure times may help.

Thank you all!
Finally got it...5 of us was $466 (2pm-3:30pm).
Could not book on-line as my CC was refused x2 (not sure why) so I used my Debit card on the phone.
They were very nice and did not charge booking fee as I was having trouble on-line.

Taking the train to London is smart. If you take the train from downtown Paris, you can be in London in 2-1/2 hrs. If you try to fly, 2-1/2 hrs after leaving downtown Paris, you'll just be getting on the plane at CDG, with at least 3 hours left to downtown London.
