We are taking Eurostar from London to Paris and will remain in France for over 1 month. We like to find out whether there are any liquid restrictions similar to those on plane.
How about train from Paris to Avignon?
1. No, unless its flammable, but then ok in very small amounts (maybe polish remover ?). The other things banned are explosives and weapons. 2. No.
Liquids have to go through the x-ray machine so need to be in sealed containers. There are rules about excessive alcohol.
Thank you for the quick responses
talent, They also have restrictions on knives above a certain size. Check their website for more details. BE SURE to check-in at least 30 minutes prior to departure. It's a good idea to leave some extra time as you'll have to go through airport style security and clear French Passport control in London. Cheers!
I went through ES security London to Paris recently. There was no checking of liquids, no shoe removal; bags and coats were xrayed; the screening of humans seemed casual compared with TSA procedures. Some young men were pulled aside for extra examinations; they may have had knives.
