Eurostar from London to Brussels- Passport Question

Hey Everyone! I am thinking of taking a Eurostar from London to Brussels next month (for a day-trip), and I know that I will need to take my passport, but my question is this: will my passport get stamped in either London, or Brussels. I know that the U.K. is sort-of-part of the EU, but I am not sure.
Also, any suggestions for must-sees in Brussels would be grately appreciated.

It will get checked, maybe not stamped. Since passports are machine-readable now they may just scan it into the computer.

We went through passport control in London last fall for the Eurostar. It was checked by both British and French authorities. I just checked and I only have a French stamp stating I left London. There was no passport check in Brussels.
