Eurostar booking

I thought there was a way, from the US, to book the Eurostar early. We need to get from London to Lille--and I'd to make the booking early if possible. Any help would be appreciated.

It's pretty straightforward on the www.eurostar.com website. Right now you can book thru August 16. I usually select the print at home button for the tickets.

As Pam said above. I booked on Eurostar.com several weeks ago for dates in May & June with no problem. I did go fancy and opted for electronic tickets (displayed on my smart phone).

Davey, I got modern and downloaded my ticket onto my Smartphone as well for my train trip last Fall. I am not very technologically ept but it worked very well. I also had the paper ticket printed as backup. It may say you need A-4 paper for printing, but it will come out fine on a regular 8.5X11. As long as the scan code is intact you are fine.

Yup, like Pam said, pretty straightforward. We booked ours for mid-May. Can't wait for our trip!

Anyway, here's a link with a lot of helpful info from The Man in Seat 61: http://seat61.com/London-to-Paris-by-train.htm#.VsZ3s9D53hE
Under the first section, "Planning Your Trip," it has links for buying tickets online, explanations of the three different classes of trains, which will help you determine where you might want to sit on the train; hence, Tips on Choosing Best Eurostar seats. Good luck & enjoy the ride!

Yep, eurostar.com or raileurope.com, and you're good. We typically book a couple of months in advance.

Rachel - good catch on the "the Man in seat 61" website! I was particularly interested in this tip:

"Be warned that Eurostar's online seat selection graphic shows incorrect window positions. Eurostar revamped their website in 2013, and when you click to choose your exact seat when managing your booking, the graphic seat numbering plan shows the windows in an incorrect position relative to the seats. The detailed PDF format seating plan here for a classic train or here for an e320 is accurate and car 1 is always at the London end of the train, car 16 or 18 at the Paris/Brussels end, so if window location or facing forwards is important to you, choose your seat numbers carefully using the accurate plans, disregarding the window locations shown in the seat selection graphic on eurostar.com"

My seats have been changed.
