Eurorailways.com

I am looking to book an overnight train from Munich to Florence in September. I have a specific day I would this trip and would like to guaruntee a double sleeper car for my husband and I so I think it is important to book as soon as possible. Most sites say that trains cannot be booked prior to 60 days in advance but Eurorailways.com will allow me to book now. Is this a reliable site to purchase from?

I ordered a pass from Eurorailways once. There was a delay of some sort with the delivery and I had to call them twice. But they delivered. You will normally find the best prices at www.bahn.de 92 days out when they first go on sale. Looking 92 days ahead from today I find Munich-Florence on the CNL leaving 21:03 for 198€, 258€ deluxe cabin. Have you tried a sleeper previously? Many do not sleep well in them.

Thank you for the information. I think I used the wrong term. I am looking for a double cabin (with two beds)? This is my first time using an overnight train. I am looking at Thursday September 6th and I am getting a price of $272 USDollars per person.

The 198€ price at www.bahn.de is for a standard double cabin. That's $259 for purposes of comparison. It's very odd that you can buy a ticket from Eurorailways when the operator of City Nightline, DB, isn't selling tickets for Sept. until May. I'd wait for DB. Who knows? You may have a change of plans between now and then anyway.

The beds in a double cabin are bunks. You have no choice but two beds. A deluxe double has a toilet and shower in the cabin. With an economy double, those facilities are shared, at the end of the car. An eco double still has a sink, but not drinkable water.
