Eurorail and Fedex conflict. Need help and moral support.

Hello fellow travelers. I ordered my train pass ($430) to be delivered to my friend's family's house in just outside of Paris. I ordered it from http://www.eurail.com/ on 12/14/10. My friend also ordered the pass but since he is EU citizen, he ordered from http://www.interrailnet.com to the same address. So my friend and I went to his family's house to pick up our passes on the 22nd, but turns out they only got his. So I tracked my pass, and shockingly, it was suppose to have delivered on the 16th. Since then, I've been contacting Eurorail for them to find proof that it was delivered to my friend's family. But they didn't seem to be on top of things, so I called Fedex in Paris (they were very helpful). As of now, it seems like they have delivered to the wrong address. And they seem to have a vague idea of where they delivered it to. If Fedex does find the pass, it's all fine. If Fedex does find the house they delivered it to but the owner does not have the pass, then it might be easier to get it refund. If Fedex doesn't find where they delivered the pass to (because they delivered to the wrong house), then I have no proof that I never got the pass. If I buy the pass at the train station, the price is 25% higher....Also, there's a possibility that I might not get refund. I have no idea what I need to do from here. Fedex told me that they'll call me tomorrow so I'm staying home all day to figure this out...... I don't think Eurorail is taking full responsibility of this conflict since Fedex says they delivered it and there is a possibility that there's no proof of Fedex delivering my pass to the wrong address. I'm just so worried because I'm following my budget and if this goes wrong, I'm spending well $1000 on just the train pass......
Thanks for reading. I hope I made myself clear.

David, I'm assuming that you're presently in Europe, so that's the reason you had the Pass delivered to an address in France? I'm a bit puzzled on why you didn't just buy the same type of Railpass as your friend? It's a bit odd that FedEx isn't able to provide accurate information on where the pass was delivered to, especially as someone presumably had to sign for the package? I'm wondering if part of the problem might be that Railpasses for non-E.U. residents can not usually be purchased in Europe (E.U. residents purchase Interrail Passes as your friend did). Good luck!
