Europe train pass or not?

We are wondering if a Europass or any other rail pass would be prudent given our schedule.

We are flying into London, 3 days there. Then train to Paris, 4 days there. Then overnite train to Barcelona, where we pick up a cruise. In each destination, we are only planning on using local transportation (subway, busses, etc)
Thank you!

You can compare point to point tickets with Eurail pass costs at http://eurostar.com and http://www.voyages-sncf.com. With only two days of travelling, it would seem that a eurail pass isn't necessary, since it's not valid on the Eurostar, and won't cover your extra sleeping accommodation on the overnight train to Barcelona.

To have more time in Barcelona or Paris, you might also consider flying. vueling flies CDG-Barcelona, while easyjet flies Orly-Barcelona. Each can have some good deals.

Thanks for the help.
We would like to fly, but are concerned with the luggage restrictions on the discount airlines.

A rail pass wouldn't benefit your itinerary. Look for Elipsos trains. They are direct from Paris to Barcelona. The ride takes a little less than 12 hours. You may book with Rail Europe or the French Railways (SNCF).

PLEASE don't both with RailEurope...you'll probably pay twice the SNCF rate!:)
