Does anyone have any experience making a prepaid on-line rental directly through Europcar? I recently made 2 separate reservations for cars in France through their web site, both prepaid. I received confirmations for both rentals, and the charges appeared right away on my credit car account as Pending Transactions. However, in both cases the charges stayed as Pending for 5 days, then disappeared. Does anyone have any experience with this situation? In the past, I've always rented through brokers.

Maybe your bank cancelled them for suspected fraud? You could contact Europcar to see if you still have the reservations.

I already approved the charges with my bank, which did question the first one. I've contacted Europcar through their web site, and while I haven't heard back, the 2 charges have now reappeared on my CC account.
