Hello,
I am trying to plan a trip to Europe, and trying to keep the cost as low as possible. I was wondering if anyone knew if the Eurail pass includes usage of local buses, as well as the trains? At first, I thought it was a pass for all public transportation, but I am finding there are a lot of fee's and exclusions. Thanks!
You might want to check the Eurail website (www.eurail.com) for "bonuses" for the countries you will be in, but I don't think local buses will be included.
In Germany, I think both a Eurail pass and a Geman Rail pass include the S-Bahns in cities, but not the U-Bahn, streetcars, nor buses. For local travel in a specific German state, the Länder tickets include almost all local transport in the metro districts.
