I will be purchasing a eurail pass to use for travel throughout France and Germany. I know that most stations have lockers, but how big are they? Are they big enough to store luggage when I stop off for a day excursion?

I've never had a problem storing all my bags. Some of lockers are often quite large.

My wife and I each have a Rick Steves regulation size convertible carry-on bag. In German stations they usually have large and small lockers. We have always been able to get both bags in a large locker.
